Building a Network for Load Balancing and Fail Over :

          1. Configuration of 3800 Router(s) include :
                        -  Configure basic features (hostname, password, domain, SSH)
                        -  Configure 2 interfaces (IP address, description, speed)
                        -  Configure ACLs
                        -  Configure SNMP for Monitoring
                        -  Configure routing protocol
                                   > BGP  -  between routers
                                   > OSPF - between router and switch

           2. Configuration of 3560 Switch(s) include:
                        -  Configure basic features (hostname, passwords, domain, SSH)
                        -  Configure VLANs for each subnetwork
                                   > VLAN 20 Connection with server
                        -  Configure Layer 3 Connection from switch to router
                        -  Configure Port Security
                        -  Configure ACLs
                        -  Configure routing protocol
                                   > OSPF - between switch and router

           3. Configuration of 3600 Router(s) include:
                        -  Configure basic features (hostname, password, domain, SSH)
                        -  Configure 2 interfaces (IP address, description, speed)
                        -  Configure ACLs
                        -  Configure SNMP for Monitoring
                        -  Configure Static Routing
                        -  Configure HSRP for Fail Over between routers
                        -  Configure SLB for Load Balancing between servers

           4. Configuration of 3550 Switch(s) include:
                        -  Configure basic features (hostname, passwords, domain, SSH)
                        -  Configure Layer 2 Connectivity between switches
                        -  Configure Port Security
                        -  Configure ACLs

Diagram explanation :

The communication is initiated from the PC.  Through the HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol), the traffic is directed to the Active Path (Configurable) than through SLB (Server Load Balancing) the traffic does Load Balancing (Configurable) through the Servers.
